Vintage Rock Posters is seeking original The Doors 1970 Baltimore Civic Center Vintage concert posters designed by Dail W. Beeghly. The concert was held on May 10, 1970, at the Baltimore Civic Center. Beeghly, a prolific graphic artist, designed concert posters for some of the top rock acts in the 1960s. He designed posters for the following shows - Jimi Hendrix at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Janis Joplin at the Alexandria Roller Rink, and The Doors Washington Hilton Hotel. The Baltimore Civic Center poster was initially designed as a head shop poster. The promoters turned it into a concert poster by adding ticket and venue information on the bottom. There is a trim line above the ticket information so that someone could cut off the concert information leaving a poster with a great image of the band. This large poster is printed on thick paper, not cardboard.
