Jimi Hendrix Experience Strasbourg, France Show January 21, 1969
Jimi Hendrix and the Experience did slip out of Germany on January 21, 1969, and played a concert in Strasbourg, France. The Strasbourg concert was the ninth show on his 1969 German Tour. As a local newspaper stated in their review of the show, "the god of the guitar played in Strasbourg." Most of the reviews commented how the band was loud and deafening, but what do you expect from a guy who "plays guitar with his tongue." Recent articles and social media posts about the concert confirm the show happened. Jimi Hendrix walked on stage in Hall 16 at Wacken on Tuesday, January 21, 1969 at 8:30 p.m. There is no doubt that the Gunther Kieser Medusa Head poster confirms that the concert did occur.
Below is the setlist for the concert.
